The main attraction of Yellow Point is the
setting. Not only is the property a fine example of temperate west
coast rainforest, but it is nestled among the pristine Gulf Islands
of British Columbia. As the name implies, the lodge is located on a
point of land that commands a 270 degree ocean view at its tip.
Only a small portion of the land is developed, and barely at that.
The man who founded the lodge, M.G. Hill, wanted his guests to be
able to escape the urban pressures and felt that Mother Nature was
the best landscape architect. The feeling around the property is
rustic and very natural.
On any given day guests may enjoy seeing a family of deer or river
otter, bald eagles fishing for salmon, wild mink, great blue heron,
seals and sea lions, our extended family of quail or on a very lucky
day, a pod of Orcas (killer whales) may pass by.
